Super versatile and easy to layer
Hand finished and made from 100% chunky 5 gauge superfine Lamb's Wool, our new HEIRLOOM CARDIGAN has a real luxurious feel.
We first created this piece back in 2021. Since then, we have tweaked and changed the design making it slightly longer in length with a hem that gently curves around the hips, giving a more cocooning and flattering look.
A keep forever knit, that you can pull out at any point, and not feel like you’re trying too hard. Versatile, easy to layer, and ready to replace a coat or jacket if desired. Leave unbuttoned over your most casual of outfits to elevate them, or wear them all buttoned up for a cosier chic feel.
A true go-to throughout the seasons.
Scottish-spun wool. Made in England
Our HEIRLOOM CARDIGAN is made from 100% Superfine Lamb's Wool, sourced from a special breed of sheep in South Africa.
With a fibre diameter of c. 18.5 microns, it is one of the world's finest and softest Lamb's Wools. (Most average 21-24 microns).
The wool arrives in Scotland by boat once a year where it is spun and dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years.
85% of the dyes used by Todd & Duncan are organic and the water used for washing and dyeing the wool is cleaned and purified before being returned to Loch Leven to be used again. It is a pioneering and cyclical process that helps to protect the environment in and around the loch.
The yarn is then sent to our Nottinghamshire factory where our team knit and hand-finish each cardigan. Due to the fully-fashioned knitting technique we employ and as we produce in small batches, there is very little yarn wastage.
