Knitted and hand-finished in England.

A heritage inspired Fisherman ribbed crew neck silhouette. Boxier and cocooning in shape. True to size, sitting on the hips.

Take your usual size for a fit as shown in the images. See the Size & Fit Guide above for more information.

This is our softest wool. It's a sweet spot of real softness with substance. Warming and structured, this knit is in a chunkier-weight gauge. It's the purity of the Scottish water used throughout the spinning process that makes this wool feel so smooth and soft.

Less is best. Caring for 100% natural wool knitwear doesn't have to be complicated, we promise.

WASH LESS, AIR MORE
We recommend airing as the best way to look after your knit, with a hand wash in a basin (step away from the machine) every now and then. Read more about washing less and airing more. We believe in it so much that we even started a club.

MANAGING PILLING
Soft fibres are liable to pill to some extent, even when it's the best wools in the world. We recommend gently removing them with this specialist fabric shaver. It really is a game changer for keeping your knits in tip top condition.

Each knit comes with its own organic cotton storage bag and is shipped in boxes made from post-consumer waste in the UK.

Elegant ease and structure

A traditionally masculine fisherman stitch, reworked to create a jumper with modern feminine proportions.

A gentle drop sleeve, a cuff that grips to create a slightly blouson effect and a pared back neck trim to allow for layering.

To create this new silhouette, we drew on the fits of three jumpers you love - the slightly shorter, wider fit of our HEIRLOOM FUNNEL and CHUNKY FIELD shapes, with the more tailored fit of the EASY.

A side stripe that makes subtle statement and a hem that comes in gently - making this pullover that perfect companion to high-waisted denim and skirts.

How does this new jumper compare with the original HEIRLOOM CREW?

We created our first HEIRLOOM CREW back in 2023 in an organic cotton wool blend. That original jumper is notably heavier due to the cottom and a lot more slouchy.

In contrast, the HEIRLOOM CREW 2.0 is designed to be much more feminine, with a blouson shape to both the cuff and hem. The hem does grip and 2.0 is much boxier in shape - like our HEIRLOOM FUNNEL

The finest Scottish-spun wool

Our HEIRLOOM CREW 2.0 is made from 100% superfine Lamb's Wool, sourced from a special breed of sheep found in South Africa and Australia. The wool is mulesing free.

With a fibre diameter of c. 18.5 microns, it is one of the world's finest and softest Lamb's Wools. (Most average 21-24 microns).

The wool arrives in Scotland where it is spun and organically dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years.

The water used for washing and dyeing the wool is cleaned and purified before being returned to Loch Leven to be used again. It is a pioneering and cyclical process that helps to protect the environment in and around the loch.

The yarn is then sent to our Nottinghamshire factory where our team knit and hand-finish each jumper. Due to the fully-fashioned knitting technique we employ there is very little yarn wastage.
