A homage to great Scottish knits

Hawick in Scotland is regarded as the original home of great knitwear and it was to the knitters in this town that we turned to bring our BORDER CABLE Collection to life.

Shaped with a slightly dropped armhole and set in sleeves with our signature horizontal double sided rib placket. The cable adds a texture as well as a subtle loftiness due to the softness of the wool without being bulky - making it not only luxurious, but also a perfect layering piece.

A slightly wider, straight fit cardigan, with a looser sleeve, echoing the shape of the body. Take your usual size if you'd like the fit as shown on our model, or size up for more slouch.

And as the Scots say, to make your outfit look 'braw', style with our BORDER CABLE Tank or add the BORDER SCARF for a finishing touch.

The finest Scottish-spun wool

Made from 100% Superfine Lamb's Wool, sourced from farms in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. With a fibre diameter of c.18.5 microns, it is one of the world's finest and softest Lamb's Wools. (Most average 21-24 microns).

The wool arrives in Scotland by boat where it is spun and dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years.

90+% of the dyes used by Todd & Duncan are organic and the water used for washing and dyeing the wool is cleaned and purified before being returned to Loch Leven - a nature reserve - to be used again. It is a pioneering and cyclical process that helps to protect the environment in and around the loch.

The yarn is then sent to our team in Hawick where each piece is knitted and hand-finished. Due to the fully-fashioned knitting technique we employ, there is very little, if any yarn wastage.
