The AUTHENTIC V. A Navygrey classic take on the traditional V. Drawing on inspiration from heritage menswear, we've intentionally designed this knit to be very subtly oversized, with a just off the shoulder seam and sleeve that gently tapers into a fitted cuff. With an almost tailored fit and feel, the AUTHENTIC V is made from 100% Scottish-spun Wool in the British Isles. Carmine is a new pop of colour to the Navygrey collection this year. An organic hue with beautiful and flattering depth, developed on the banks of Loch Leven in Scotland.

We recommend airing as the best way to look after your knit. That's why we started a club. A Wash Less, Air More Club. We'd love you to join us.

This jumper comes in its own organic cotton bag and is shipped in 100% recycled cardboard boxes made from post-consumer waste in the UK.

A reimagined classic V

A subtle drop sleeved jumper, knitted with the very best Scottish-spun wool. Warmth without the bulk, this is a beautiful 100% natural and traceable jumper.

Designed so that it pairs perfectly with both trousers and skirts, the beauty lies in its simplicity and attention to detail, from sheep through to finished sweater. The V is neither too shallow nor too deep - wear layered over a crisp white t shirt or simply without anything underneath. The hem of the jumper drapes rather than grips, giving the jumper so much versatility – you’ll want to wear it every day and with everything.

Knitted in a chunky 3 gauge, with 4ply wool yarn and fully-fashioned - where each piece of the jumper is knitted separately and then linked together by hand and hand-finished. This means that not only is this knit of the highest quality, but that also there is minimal, often zero, waste.

The finest Scottish-spun wool

Our superfine wool arrives in Scotland by boat once a year, sourced from a special breed of sheep in South Africa.

With a fibre diameter of c. 18.5 microns, it is one of the world's finest and softest Lambs Wools. (Most average 21-24 microns). We have knitted this style into a luxurious 3 gauge jumper.

It is here in Scotland that the wool is spun and dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years.

85% of the dyes used by Todd & Duncan are organic and the water used for washing and dyeing the wool is cleaned and purified before being returned to Loch Leven to be used again. It is a pioneering and cyclical process that helps to protect the environment in and around the loch.
