Our first edition SWEATSHIRT, as featured in Sunday Times STYLE

The navy striped icon turned - carmine. A fresh new colourway in our sell-out BRETON JERSEY. Soft, yet structured, 100% organic, and created to last. There's real substance and authenticity to our BRETON JERSEY fabric - a sweet spot between a jumper and a t-shirt - weighty but not too much. Taking the traditional Breton shape - slightly tapered arms and just off-the-shoulder seams - we've tweaked the fit to ensure it retains a nostalgic silhouette yet is distinctively modern and easy with a feminine edge. A relaxed fit with a small side split at the hem and a wide crisp flattering neckline.

Our cotton sweatshirt can be washed in the machine. Wash on a gentle wash at 30 degrees. Do not tumble try.

Stripes with substance

A classic straight fit, that's neither too fitted nor relaxed for everyday ease. With a subtle dropped shoulder, that keeps it's structure and a length that falls to the hips. Tuck in or wear gently draped, chic and flattering for everyday.

While it was demanded that a 'true' French navy uniform Breton have 21 stripes in 1858 to mark each of Napoleon's victories, we've adjusted that to 20 - to ensure the spacing between the stripes delivers a flattering, effortlessly-finished look.

The thickness of the organic cotton gives the piece a luxury, cool feel. An iconic top, quintessentially French, yet something so inherently synonymous with British style.

Soft & weighty, 100% certified organic cotton

Created from 100% certified organic cotton.

Knitted, dyed, made, and finished within a 16-mile radius in Portugal. Unbelievably, it can take thousands of miles of travel to make cotton jerseys like this.

Cotton and its organic status can be complicated. But this is the real thing. You can read more about why certified organic cotton is better here.
