100% mulesing-free Italian-spun Merino
Hand-linked and hand-finishedWe've taken our best-selling WEEKEND jumper and created a cardigan companion. The same raglan sleeve, the same fine-knit gauge and same the double folded neck trim that extends down the placket. Made from 100% superfine, traceable Italian-spun Merino wool. Finished with five of our signature Mother of Pearl buttons. To wear alone, or layered over a favourite t shirt, in that all-time favourite Atlantic Grey shade.
Our 12gg knits are hard-working classics. Due to being lighter-weight, they are low pilling and the wool softens further over time with wear.
Being 100% superfine wool, it means this knit requires very little, if any washing as the wool is naturally antibacterial. The wool is un-treated - meaning that we have kept this wool as natural as possible, so if you do wish to wash it, it must be done so by hand. A lot of machine-washable wool knits have been chemically treated to become machine washable, and this is something we wish to avoid.

The Details
The WEEKEND CARDIGAN is made from 100% Italian-spun superfine wool. Knitted in 12gg, it is lightweight with an elegant ease with a weight that's perfect for all year round.
This is a cardigan that gets softer with each wear. Shaped with raglan sleeves to enhance the laid-back feel, our WEEKEND collection really is about everyday ease.
Finished with five of our signature Mother of Pearl buttons along with double rib placket edge.
How does the WEEKEND CARDIGAN differ to the CARDIGAN?
The WEEKEND CARDIGAN is a lighter-weight knit compared with the CARDIGAN and is knitted in a 12gg Italian-spun, 100% superfine wool.
Our original CARDIGAN is knitted in a slightly thicker 7 gauge with our Scottish-spun lamb's wool and the sleeve shape of this cardigan means that the seam sits just off the shoulder. In contrast this WEEKEND CARDIGAN has a raglan sleeve, where the seam of the sleeve sits diagonally across the shoulder.
Both cardigans have a horizontal detail placket, but this cardigan has a crew neck shape, whereas our original cardigan is a v neck shape.
100% Italian-spun superfine wool
Crafted from 100% softly-spun Italian wool yarn and knitted in a lighter 12 gauge knit at our small factory in Portugal, where it is hand-finished and our skilled team of women, Anna, Vania and Olga check each piece.
This cardigan is woollen-spun, giving the jumper its softness. The wool is fully traceable back to the farms and certified by Woolmark. It is spun and dyed at our family run mill in Italy. Read more about the Mill just here.
