The LEATHER

+++

Our bespoke patches have come from the bend of the hide which has been selected as the strongest, most durable part of the leather, to enhance the longevity of the leather.

The leather comes exclusively from pasture-fed cattle - which creates a more diverse eco system for the cattle, which in turn creates leather that is high quality and idiosyncratic in nature.

Learn more about the remarkable story of British Pasture Leather below from the co-founders Alice and Sara.

EXPERTS
The CUTTERS

+++

We worked alongside Beorma Leather ro create these one-of-a-kind patches.

Based in Walsall, the talented team created a bespoke steel knife to cut the leather - to ensure real precision and to ensure that an exact curved shape could be achieved that would minimise any waste.

Meet Co-Founders Alice & Sara

British Pasture Leather

Alice and Sara have done something remarkable.

They have created British Pasture Leather - the first supply of leather from the hides of cattle raised on regenerative farms in the British Isles

Co-founder's Alice and Sara wish to connect design with ecosystem restoration - giving designers and brands such as ours material that delivers positive impacts for land, animals, people, and nature.

There's no sound on this video (technical glitch) but read the subtitles to learn more about their work with leather at Navygrey's HQ.

Meet Alex

Founder, Beorma Leather

Alex made his first leather bag when he was just 13.

After a 15-year army career in bomb disposal, Alex returned home to his deep-rooted desire and passion for working with leather.

Today, Beorma is not just a company. It's a testament to resilience, a celebration of real heritage, of nurturing skills that could have been lost forever following the closure of many factories in the Walsall area.

It is a British business dedicated to the artisans who breathe life into leather.
