The LORTON
The cult favourite. Never repeated.

It started with a feeling
A borrowed jumper. A sense of home. That’s always been the spirit of Navygrey - and it’s what the Lorton carries forward.
This knit is about warmth and comfort, but also about memory. A piece tied to place, to feeling.
Made once, in small batches, then never again - so the one you choose becomes yours alone. It feels like it's always been yours.
Unrepeatable. Nostalgic. Yours.
Five iconic knits knitted in England from twisted Scottish-spun wool, with a Fair Isle stitch rich in detail, the Lorton is a rare kind of knit: familiar, yet impossible to replace.
The last ever pieces in our LORTON story.

Lorton is about memory and meaning. A name with roots in a small corner of Cumbria. Two villages, Low Lorton and High Lorton, set in one of the quietest and prettiest parts of the Northern Lakes.
It’s a place woven into our story. Family holidays, four seasons in a day, stones skimmed across the river. Lorton reflects those moments that stay with you, that shape you. That’s why it lives here, in this collection.
Rare, rooted and made to endure.

Knitted and hand-finished in Nottinghamshire

Each LORTON piece is lovingly crafted in Nottinghamshire - taking around three to four hours each to perfect, from knitting to final press.
From start to finish, each knit is handled by eight to nine people.
As the garment makes it way through the factory, quality time is spent linking and hand-sewing the different sections of the garment together.
Checking stitch by stitch, to ensure that each and every single one matches and is aligned. The process is meticulous and delicate, creating the finest of knits.
After all these processes are complete, the garment is then washed and checked again and again before it is deemed ready.

The knit that became a cult favourite. Every drop sells out. Each edition never repeated.
