A homage to great Scottish knits
Hawick in Scotland is regarded as the original home of great knitwear and it was to the knitters in this town that we turned to bring our BORDER CABLE Collection to life.
Knitted in a versatile mid, 5gg weight, our BORDER CABLE Tank is that perfect layering piece for cool days, with the added twist of a horseshoe cable detailing.
Available in our beautiful shade of Moss. A deep earthy green that has warm undertones throughout, keeping it a neutral shade but that little bit different.
Wear over striped shirts, white blouses or a simple tee - this BORDER CABLE TANK that will work hard for you.
The finest Scottish-spun wool
Made from 100% Superfine Lamb's Wool, sourced from farms in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. With a fibre diameter of c.18.5 microns, it is one of the world's finest and softest Lamb's Wools. (Most average 21-24 microns).
The wool arrives in Scotland by boat where it is spun and dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years.
90+% of the dyes used by Todd & Duncan are organic and the water used for washing and dyeing the wool is cleaned and purified before being returned to Loch Leven - a nature reserve - to be used again. It is a pioneering and cyclical process that helps to protect the environment in and around the loch.
The yarn is then sent to our team in Hawick where each piece is knitted and hand-finished. Due to the fully-fashioned knitting technique we employ, there is very little, if any yarn wastage.
