A cold weather essential
The HOUSE SOCK, has a contrast colour on the heal, toe and top cuff. Knitted in the finest Scottish-spun Lamb's wool and plated with cotton for extra stability, these are cosy additions for when the temperature dips.
Knitted in a mid-weight gauge for breathable yet warming feel. The rib stitch gives a thicker finish with just the right amount of stretch.
The wool for these socks arrives in Scotland by boat once a year, sourced from a special breed of sheep in South Africa. With a fibre diameter of c. 18.5 microns, it is one of the worlds finest and softest lambs wools (most average 21-24 microns). Extra warm, extra soft.
It is here in Scotland that the wool is spun and dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years. The wool is sent to a small factory in Wales where our socks are knitted in a 9gg and fully fashioned - where each piece of the sock is knitted separately and then linked together by hand and finished.
