A cold weather essential
The KEEP THE CHILL OUT HOOD, a modern detached, cosy hood for the colder days. A knitted hood/ balaclava style cold weather accessory in the finest Scottish lambswool.
Knitted in a mid-weight 5gg wool gauge for a breathable yet warming feel. A snug fit with a 1x1 rib neck and double ribbed edge around the face.
Made from 100% superfine lambs wool that is sourced from a special breed of sheep in South Africa. With a fibre diameter of c. 18.5 microns, it is one of the world's finest and softest lamb's wools (most average 21-24 microns). Extra warm, extra soft.
The wool arrives in Scotland by boat where it is spun and dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross by Todd & Duncan, one of the finest Scottish Mills which has been spinning yarn for 150+ years.
The yarn is then sent to our Nottinghamshire factory where our team knit and hand-finish each hood. Due to the fully-fashioned knitting technique we employ and as we produce in small batches, there is very little wastage.
